BRIDAL RELOVED |
Autumn Hues
By Jenny
It’s the start of a new year and I dare say life has changed for a fair few of you if you’re reading this – so congratulations if you were newly engaged over the festive season.
I’ve been looking forward to sharing our most recent photoshoot with you which took place on a very crisp and bright Remembrance Day here in beautiful Shropshire. Maybe this will give you some ideas, particularly if your wedding will be an Autumn or woodland wedding! The mellow brickwork and warm autumnal colours in the shoot combine beautifully to awaken your senses – the sound of crisp leaves underfoot, wood-smoke in the air and hazy autumnal light as the vivid glory of summer fades away.
The wedding dresses are a selection from our current stock here at Bridal Reloved Rowton and I must say they are dazzling. I chose a particularly beautiful Jenny Packham ‘Esme’ wedding dress, two Claire Pettibone dresses (for their autumnal hues) and others by Suzanne Neville, Claire Mischevani and Diane Harbridge (we like to stock dresses that are a little less ordinary as you can see!) Claire Mischevani is a local Shrewsbury designer and former winner of the Designer of the Year award and she has given us her blessing to sell on some of her past season stock at half the rrp – you will find more of them in store.
Stanford Farm, where the shoot took place, is a new wedding venue just down the road from Bridal Reloved Rowton, and has been farmed by the same family for the last 101 years. Cindy Edwards (current owner and Director of LFest) has diversified the business and now hosts weddings in the beautiful Stables building. She has turned an old cow shed into a gin bar and has beautiful fields and woodland waiting to be explored. The place is about having your wedding your way and above all it is relaxed and fun!
The wedding professionals on this shoot all operate within 10 miles of each other, here in our rustic idyll of Shropshire, and it was a pleasure to be able to work with such talented easy going folk. The immensely proficient Toby H captured the vibe in his photographs so perfectly. He is considerate and pleasant and modest about his skill – and seriously, you need to book this guy for your wedding photography – he is some kind of wizard! Every time I look at one of his photographs I am blown away. Have a look for yourself!
Hair and makeup were provided by Anna Beer and Nichola Witcombe-Tant and local company Bubbles in a Teacup supplied the beautiful hair accessories (they also hire out vintage china). Talented local artisan Kate Slater provided the embroidered flower crown which sets off our Claire Pettibone ‘Alexandra’ dress so beautifully. These suppliers’ pieces are available to order in our Bridal Reloved Rowton store.
I think the thing that ties together all the colours and textures of this beautiful shoot are the bouquets, artfully designed by Tammy Weaver of TMS Events. The colours were so intense and perfectly complimented the dresses. I just loved them! In fact I loved everything about doing this shoot – (except maybe the sub-zero wind chill – at least I had a coat unlike our poor models who were superstars!).
Thanks for reading. Hope this has given you some wedding inspiration.
