I felt like a princess in this dress. She’s big, bold and beautiful.

She was the most comfortable dress I tried on of probably 20 dresses. I felt really held in the upper body with the corset, plus the wide ballgown skirt gave my legs plenty of freedom of movement so I didn’t feel constrained like in many other dresses. I am a bit pear shaped, smaller on the top and with bigger legs. This dress hid my legs and bum completely and left me looking gorgeous. I really felt I could be my best self on the day because I was really relaxed. The dress is also super pretty with the detailing on the upper body and corset.

I was told by several people at the wedding that it was the kind of dress they’d dreamed of wearing and not had the courage to choose for their own weddings. I don’t care what anyone thinks so I went big and I don’t regret it at all! It looks incredible in all the photos.

Despite the volume she was easy enough to move around in, use the toilet and sit down. I was told at the bridal shop her name was Bella. I wore Bella with a hoop to ease movement, although you can wear her without one too. I will include the hoop.

She’s in perfect condition. Our Wedding was on a farm on a dry day. We married outside and then had the wedding breakfast and party inside. I was able to move around easily enough and there was just a tiny bit of mud on a few bits of the skirts after the day. I changed into a dance dress for the evening Ceilidh so she was only worn for about 7 hrs with no sweating or dancing. The mud came off easily in the professional spot clean.

I’m listing the dress just 1 month after wearing and on return from her clean immediately after honeymoon so she is very new, clean and fresh and still available on the Rachel Allan Website.

I am 5 ‘7″ and I worse her with flat shoes, because my partner is the same height. We had the normal length taken off for my height from the standard base dress. She says US size 12 and UK size 16 on the label. I’m really surprised this label size as I am a UK 8-10 (smaller on top and bigger on the bottom). I did have her taken in to fit at the top by a few sizes so she fits me now as measured. The corset allows a little flex here.
