Bridal Trends for 2017

Jenny From our Bridal Reloved Rowton store has written us a blog about wedding trends: Planning a wedding is no mean feat, juggling the organisation of the biggest day of your life with work/ kids/life in general. You probably feel like superwoman (and if you don’t, you should – remember this is one of the top 5 most stressful things you’ll ever do!). Why not reward yourself with a cape to match your superpowers then?! Seriously – capes and toppers in general are set to be massive for 2017. You can keep it simple with a short and floaty poncho, or go the whole hog with acres of fabric and have a full blown shoulder train. Just try to avoid looking like Russ Abbott in his white scarf (those of you too young for this reference see image below) . You can still wear a bolero if you like too – just reverse it to create an elegant portrait neckline over your dress. Whip it off later on and you’ll have two looks in one. Other trends coming to a bridal boutique near you include the 80s off the shoulder look – already everywhere on the fashion catwalks and now moving over to bridalwear. There’s no hard and fast rule on how these should look, as long as they frame your collar bones beautifully. Long sleeved, beaded, soft and floaty. A romantic look whichever way you wear it.
